FOOD SOURCING

Good food depends almost entirely on good ingredients.

- Alice Waters

As a teen I lived next to the first community garden, the P-Patch, in Seattle Washington. Later, while working on sustainable farms, I sold produce at the Pike's Place Market in Seattle. It became clear early in my culinary career that in order to get the best tasting food, you must use the highest quality ingredients. I have been growing food and/or sourcing food from the farmers market for over 25 years. I also began the first unofficial farmers market in the Coachella Valley before the Certified Farmers Market was established and have longstanding relationships with the farmers I buy from, listed below.

I am dedicated to providing my clients with the best quality food and personally do all of the shopping, hand selecting your fresh food at the local farmers market just prior to the event. Each dish is made from scratch with an emphasis on proper technique and careful attention to detail at every step.

GRAINS

Dry goods, grains and oils are organic. We use small batch, freshly milled local grains, the kind your grandmother or great grandmother used. These grains are not only more flavorful and delicious, they are also good for you! Flours come from Bread and Flours
